Audioserv returned to Wetherby Beer Festival 2025 to provide complete event production for another fantastic weekend of live music, entertainment and, of course, plenty of great beer.
The festival continues to grow each year, attracting larger crowds and an increasingly varied programme of entertainment. With live bands, acoustic performers and family entertainment taking place throughout the two-day event, we needed to provide a sound and lighting system that could handle everything comfortably.
Our production included a professional KV2 sound system, two Allen & Heath dLive S7000 mixing consoles, a complete stage lighting package and a bespoke truss arrangement designed specifically for the festival marquee.
Professional KV2 Sound System Hire
With a busy programme of live entertainment, sound quality was an important part of the production.
We supplied one of our KV2 professional sound systems, providing excellent clarity and coverage throughout the marquee.
The system needed to accommodate everything from solo acoustic performers through to full live bands, while delivering consistent sound quality for an increasingly large audience.
For audio mixing, we used two Allen & Heath dLive S7000 digital mixing consoles.
Having separate consoles for front-of-house and stage monitors allowed our engineers to work independently, ensuring that performers had the monitor mixes they needed while the audience enjoyed a balanced and powerful live sound.
With multiple acts performing throughout the weekend, the flexibility of the dLive system made changeovers and mixing considerably easier.

Designing Event Lighting for the Festival Marquee
The marquee presented a few interesting challenges for our lighting team.
With a relatively low roof and a long audience area, we needed a lighting design that provided an impressive show without taking up valuable performance space.
We designed a custom goalpost truss arrangement that fitted neatly beneath the marquee roof, allowing us to position the main lighting fixtures above the stage.
Additional floor-mounted fixtures provided front, side and rear lighting, ensuring performers remained clearly visible while giving our lighting engineer plenty of creative options.
The Lighting Equipment
Our lighting package included a combination of professional fixtures:
- BeamZ Pro 7R moving head beam lights
- ADJ Jolt Panel FX lighting fixtures
- LED wash moving heads
- BeamZ Pro two-cell IP-rated blinders
- BeamZ Pro Fresnel stage lighting
The 7R beam fixtures were particularly effective, producing bright, defined beams that travelled through the haze towards the back of the marquee.
The ADJ Jolt Panel FX fixtures also worked brilliantly during acoustic performances, providing attractive visual effects without distracting attention from the artists on stage.

A Mirror Ball Makes Its Debut
One of the new additions to the 2025 festival was a large rotating mirror ball suspended above the audience.
We positioned eight of our 7R beam fixtures to illuminate the mirror ball, creating hundreds of moving reflections across the marquee.
It was a simple but incredibly effective addition to the lighting design, particularly during the evening performances when the marquee was full.
The combination of the mirror ball, moving beams, washes and lighting effects created a fantastic atmosphere for the live entertainment.
Live Bands and Entertainment Throughout the Weekend
Wetherby Beer Festival has become much more than just a celebration of local beers.
The event featured a varied programme of entertainment, including acoustic singers, live bands and tribute acts.
Among the performers were Fleetwood Mac tribute band Run in the Shadow and Oasis tribute act Definitely Mightbe.
The combination of professional audio and lighting helped create an enjoyable atmosphere for performers and audiences alike.
During the acoustic sets, we were able to create a more intimate stage appearance, while the larger bands benefited from the full lighting system.
As the evening progressed, the lighting became a bigger part of the show, with the moving beams and mirror ball bringing the whole marquee to life.
Another Successful Wetherby Beer Festival
With warm weather, clear skies and a fantastic turnout, Wetherby Beer Festival 2025 was another great weekend.
The combination of live entertainment, excellent beer and enthusiastic crowds made for a brilliant atmosphere throughout the event.
